Robert "Bob" Blase Ardolf

Robert “Bob” Blase Ardolf, age 87, of Edina passed peacefully in his own home on Friday, October 17, 2025.

He was born on March 30, 1938 in Silver Lake, Minnesota to Frank Joseph and Catherine (Hander) Ardolf.

He attended Silver Lake High School and graduated in 1955.   He Enrolled in trade school at Dunwoody University where he learned the trade of pipefitting.   He belonged to The Pipefitters Union #539.

Bob enjoyed hunting ducks, geese and grouse.   He liked to go fishing in our Minnesota lakes and also fishing off the Florida coasts.  Bob also enjoyed playing cards with friends.

For twenty-six years Bob resided with his sweetheart Nancy Lea.   They spent their summers at Madison Lake, Minnesota and their winters in Florida.   They made many happy memories together.

Bob is survived by his sister: Germaine Strychartz; children: Blaise Ardolf; a daughter: Sheri (Chris) Anderson; a son: Barry Ardolf; grandchildren: Ashley (Mike) Dovell, Sam Anderson, Katrina Ardolf, Kari Anderson, Taylor Ardolf and Kelly Ardolf; great grandchildren: Alexus Dovell, Spencer Dovell, Elliot Anderson and Lydia Anderson;

By the Loving Lea family: Rory and Amy Lea, Chad and Lori Lea; his honorary grandchildren: Hanna Lea, Karlie Lea, Tyler Hirth and wife Rachel, Morgan Haupert and husband Dave, Jared Lea and wife Anaya, Logan Lea, and Zach Lea; his honorary great grandchildren: Hawkins Hirth, Hughes Hirth and Harper Haupert;  many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his beloved sweetheart Nancy Lea, her daughter Vickie Lea, his daughter-in-law Nancy Altendorf Ardolf, his parents Frank and Catherine (Hander) Ardolf, siblings Father Paul Ardolf, Bernard Ardolf, Mildred Ardolf, Donald Ardolf, Alfred and Nellie Ardolf, Mary Ann and Theophil Wendolek and Gregory Ardolf.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert “Bob” Ardolf will be held on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.   Father Matthew Wiering will be the Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
